One of our newest program developments is the provision of delivery for our new mums.

This has been something we have been praying and believing for. With so many mothers not able to afford the proper care during delivery of their children.  We have set up a mothers club that meets once a week with a doctor and 3 nurses that provide prenatal care, information, education and planning.

Then during the delivery the same team are there to assist with the safe delivery for mother and baby.  We also provide after care for mother and child … all this is provided for free. This is an expensive program as we need to be able to provide our mothers with medications … IV’s where necessary and babys with antibiotics at times and other items.

The mothers we are targeting are those that would deliver on the street … in their home without care and support of a local midwife … in the slum or dumpsite where they live.  We want to provide a safer cleaner and more dignified experience for mother baby and family.
