Water Pump - Community Development E-mail
Written by Lucy Longden

We aim to provide the communities that we are working in with as much assistance for change as possible. Our methods for achieving this goal include: training; provision of water; improved housing; assistance with the creation of jobs and livelihood projects; adult literacy training; education subsidies for young children; education programs concerning public health issues; and networking within the communities with as many relevant services as possible … facilitating parent groups etc …
To date we have installed and maintain more than 20 water pumps and we are in the process of accessing funding for the implementation of a potable drinking water system at Pier 4 one of the most destitute areas that we are currently working in. We test the water of the pumps regularly to ensure that the levels of toxins etc are safe … we do not encourage the drinking of the water …

Such as the provision of free running water for the community.
Each water pump that we install is able to cater for up to 100 families
