![]() Believe it or not this photo is of Jason, James’ twin. You may remember from previous stories that James was saved from Pier 4. He came to church severely dehydrated and malnourished. At that time Jason was twice the size of James. Sadly, through three months of neglect here is Jason covered in a severe skin infection suffering from pneumonia, anemia, malnutrition and dehydration. ![]() He was brought to us on a Friday night street feeding. The locals were concerned that he would not make it through the night. When we examined him closer we were shocked by his physical condition. He was weak and he reeked of stale urine and the stench of his infected ears was overwhelming. His mother was understandably ashamed of his condition. We rushed him to the mission house and started by providing him with fluids and had him go to our local pediatrician the next morning. He was prescribed a number of antibiotics… and now one week later here is Jason and his skin condition healed and his ear infection cleared up. ![]() Our mission pediatrician has given us three months for Jason to be completely cleared up as she has seen the power of love and care in the mission house before. It actually took three times to explain to the doctor that this was James’ twin brother as his condition was so desperate. Jason weighed 4.5 kilograms while James weighed 8.2 kilograms. ![]() Jason, his mother and two siblings have been living with us and it is great to share with you that Jason is recovery well. Within three weeks he had gained weight and is now weighing in at 7.1 Kgs. He has gained weight at a rapid weight and we have had him checked regularly by our Pediatrician. He was cleared to return home this week … however we will need to find a source for regular nutrition or we will be seeing Jason back in our home needing remedial assistance … please continue to pray for this family as they experience the power of the love of God in their lives … ![]() James now …
