It is hard to believe that Salvador has been back in Cebu for more than a year now … my how time has flown. I am sure there are many who are wondering how things have been for Salvador since his return from Perth, Western Australia.

As most of you would know … Salvador had a desire to return to his study’s in order to fulfill a dream he once had, of becoming a teacher … well he has been hard at work with his study’s and this coming April 2006 he will be graduating from High school.

Badong will be the first to share about the many struggles and fears of failure that he had to deal with when returning to study … it was more than he was first expecting … years of suffering in hospital … malnourished and the horrific neglect had definitely taken a toll on Badong emotionally. Many had worked hard to make his physical recovery a reality … but there remained a fight and challenge that only Badong and God could face alone …

Salvador has the most amazing attitude … he never complains … never has attitude with people … he just quietly and methodically studies and studies and studies … and when ever there is a job to be done or a task that we as a mission need help with … Badong is there … he worked through out his holidays on our building project at Inayawan Training center …

He takes life very seriously and has changed his dream of study … now he wants to be a doctor so that he can minister the love and care that so many gave to him when he was in need …

Salvador is living in the mission house with us … we are his family … he still has financial needs from time to time … but we have seen God in such a miraculous way in his life that we know that HE will be faithful to all Salvador’s needs …
