We are blessed!

The beginning of 2008 brought with it great blessings for the foundation in Cebu with a new batch of missionaries. They have worked hard to raise their support to come and serve selflessly in Cebu for the next year. Their hearts are open and willing to help us work towards the visions and goals that God has prepared for the work here.

Maximus is from the states and comes with energy and passion to see the lost find a real and intimate relationship with Jesus. We are so blessed to have him join our team and we are confident and excited to see all that he will be able to impart to our work here on the mission. He has a specific goal of working with our Dance Boys and is on the committee that is overseeing the planning and implementation of their trip to Australia in Feb 2009. Max joined his fellowships team that came last year and was deeply affected by Gods calling to come back to Cebu. Maximus has a powerful testimony he was saved from a life of drug and alcohol addiction and during his younger years was in and out of prison … with all that he had come through and been redeemed from his life is an example to the young boys that we are working with in the Cemetery and Pier 4.

Kim, is a registered nurse and comes from Canberra. She has been sent out to us by the Belconnen Community Church, and we were so blessed to have been able to receive her in a ceremony at her local church, her parents were present and it was a very special time. We have a great sense of anticipation with her joining our team here in Cebu. She will be working with our medical support program, youth, worship, prayer and our project to get the dance boys over to Australian in Feb next year. During our time in Australia Kim was so patient in transporting us around Canberra and making sure that we had everything that we needed it was really special. Coincidentally we have two of our team members over with Kims’ fellowship as they are being sponsored to undergo further Information and technology training … Thanks Belconnen Community Church.

Lauren Sargeant joined us this month from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland and we are blessed to have her with us for the next year. Our families have known each for over ten years now and our children used to have sleepovers at each others houses … what a great privilege to have another gifted young person here to work with us and to further our work on the field. Lauren will be working in the office with some of our administration processes, worship, creative arts and drama and also working on the committee responsible for the preparation and travel of the Dance Boys to Australia. PLEASE keep all of these amazingly dedicated servants of the Lord in your prayers. For their finances and health during their time with us here on the mission. We consider it an honor that God has called all those missionaries that have served with us on the field over the years. It is truly humbling to see their hearts and dedication … we couldn’t achieve all that God has called us to without their valuable input and support … we love them and appreciate them all dearly.
